摔角历程：
他是摔角行业里其中一个最坚韧的选手，这可能是继承了他那传奇的父亲Johnny Valentine的传统。从70年代到90年代，他都是一名顶级摔角选手，而且除了在摔角行业外，他在别的领域也得到了不错的成绩。
在NWA的中太平洋地区，他总是会Ric Flair组成双打队伍，并取得过世界双打冠军头衔及美国冠军头衔。1985年，他在WWE与Brutus Beefcake一起赢得了世界双打冠军头衔，并在后来的WrestleMania 2成功捍卫了自己的头衔。在这之前，他曾是洲际杯冠军头衔得住，并在第一届WrestleMania成功战胜了Junkyard Dog从而捍卫了自己的头衔。之后，他还与2004年加入名人堂的Tito Santana进行了激烈的对抗。Valentine之后也成为了WWE冠军Bob Backlund和Hogan的死对头。不久后，他又与Honky Tonk Man组成了双打组合Rhythm & Blues。除了在WWE，他还曾到WCW摔角。在那，他与Terry Taylor获得了美国双打冠军头衔，并经常出席Monday Nitro。他凶狠的擂台风格令人过目难忘，他和Flair以及Buddy Rogers还使得“figure-four leglock”（四足固定）成为了家喻户晓的招数。
